I've ordered for years from several different take-out Chinese in the area and they seem to have all gone down since the pandemic. I tried New King Wok and it was pretty decent. Portions not gigantic but reasonable and food not as greasy as others. Delivery was speedy and friendly. I had shrimp with Chinese vegetables and the woman on the phone explained that there would be no broccoli, which was fine. They didn't send a menu along so I still have to order off the one on the Google review. This will be my new choice.

The food is always fresh and hot for a Chinese takeout spot in New York. If you'll be upset that its not a sit down gourmet street food , don't go.

I would just like to note this is the second incident or bad customer service I received from a Chinese restaurant I decided to try out for the first time. Upon delivery I had to leave my apt and go down stairs, which wasn't the problem. When I arrived down stairs my delivery man approached me, so I proceeded to take out my money and pay him. I gave him $33 as my order was $32.75 as I was about to grab my order from his hands he rudely asked me for a tip and pulled my order back. I explained to him he should ask nicer for a tip and gave him a dollar even still and after he complained about only getting a dollar .. I understand it isn't the best tip in the world but even while he had chosen to rudely demand a tip I still gave him something, I should have expected it though; because I did read the reviews and still decided to order. At least the food makes up for it.

I got the combination platter with general tso's tofu. It was very easy to switch the egg roll to a vegetarian spring roll and the pork fried rice to veggie fried rice. The portions were large enough for a large meal and a small one (or two medium meals) and come in a sturdy takeout container. It takes a few minutes but they cook everything to order. Fried rice waa good, not too salty, and the tofu was flavored well but not spicy. Spring roll was fantastic! My only complaint is that it's marked as spicy and was sooo not. Flavors were good but not hot. Maybe ask for extra spice? PROS: Great tofu. Large portions. Reasonable prices. Open until 11:30 on weekdays. Easy to swap out for vegetarian options. Friendly staff. Sturdy containers. CONS: Definitely not spicy. The interior could use some touching up (tears on tables and chairs).

When I'm interested in a cheap meal of Chinese food this is the place I call. We stick to the non-fancy offerings. My favorite are the shrimp dumplings, steamed or fried. Brown rice with sautéed string beans. I don't find the restaurant comfortable actually it has no appeal. For me it's one of the better take out joints or delivery. I wish they would accept credit or debt cards.
